We've seen firsthand the challenges facing preneed - from operational complexity to consumer distrust following industry failures. We're building LeaveWell to solve those problems.
Brad Speaks
Founder & CEO
Brad is a third-generation funeral director and former funeral home owner with 30 years of experience in death care. He owned and operated multiple funeral homes and cemeteries in Missouri before selling his businesses in 2023.
Brad was impacted by the National Prearranged Services (NPS) collapse after acquiring a competitor whose preneed contracts were held by NPS. He personally lost significant funds when the trust failed. That experience shaped his commitment to rebuilding trust and transparency in preneed administration.
As a licensed funeral director and preneed specialist, Brad has deep operational expertise in preneed contract administration, trust management, and the regulatory complexities facing both funeral homes and institutional trustees.
Brad founded LeaveWell Technologies to modernize preneed infrastructure and restore consumer confidence in trust-funded preneed arrangements.
Jessica Lager
President & Chief Operating Officer
Jessica brings extensive operational expertise in funeral home management and preneed administration. She has successfully managed five funeral service businesses, overseeing day-to-day operations, preneed programs, trust administration, and regulatory compliance.
With a background in mathematics and a detail-oriented approach to process optimization, Jessica has deep experience in the operational complexities of preneed trust management, examination preparation, and funeral home-trustee coordination.
Jessica's expertise comes from 20 years of hands-on experience. She has served as Executive Vice President, preneed sales manager, and General Manager and Director of Funeral Operations. She also successfuly ran a casket importing business and cemetery operation.
At LeaveWell, Jessica leads operational strategy, product development, and partnership management with financial institutions and funeral service providers.
Jeff Parker
Chief Technology Officer
Jeff is a technology executive with 30 years of experience in IT, internet security, and platform infrastructure. He has served as head of IT and technology at two of the three largest funeral home corporations in North America, including Director of Information Technology at Carriage Services and as Chief Technology Officer at Park Lawn Corporation, Jeff has led the development of enterprise software solutions and digital infrastructure.
Jeff's expertise spans distributed systems, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance platforms, and large-scale technology deployments across multi-location organizations. His "regulatory compliance first" approach ensures that technology solutions meet the stringent requirements of regulated industries like preneed and financial services.
At LeaveWell, Jeff leads all technology development, systems architecture, security infrastructure, and integration with institutional trustees and preneed service providers.
